For example, in Belgium, Proxis.be has a market share 7 times larger than the number 2 player in the sector. Proxis.nl is the 2nd largest e-commerce company in The Netherlands.
Proxis.com was founded in October, 1997 in Belgium and has, since then, been referred to as an e-commerce pioneer in Europe.
Till now, Proxis.com managed its own ICT environment, which essentially grew organically, maintaining a fair amount of legacy solutions. As such, the company was unavoidably faced with the growing challenge and complexity of managing ICT facilities in a B2C e-commerce market. Accordingly, Proxis was looking to redesign and outsource its entire e-commerce facility.
After an extensive selection process, Proxis decided to entrust its complex hosting project to Porthus because of the robust, innovative solutions and the scalability offered by the Porthus OnDemand Solutions.

The central environment was moved towards the Porthus.net Hosting infrastructure. Proxis also gained the advantages of acquiring management services from Porthus instead of increasing its in-house IT staffing resources.
