Planning and pre-announcement.

Transport companies are able to pre-announce their visits to terminal or warehouse facilities. The main advantages are a reduction of the waiting times (shorter lead times) and slot reservations, made easier by feedback information from the terminal operators. The information from the transport instruction can also be re-used for the pre-announcement.

The Pre-announcement of Cargo for Inland Transport (P@C-IT) system offers the carrier (i.e. inland carriers) the possibility of receiving transport orders electronically and of sending pre-notifications to the different terminals and/or depots.

Expag allows forwarders to create B/Ls and shipping instructions, and it sends the information electronically to carriers and agents, thus saving time and money, leaving less scope for mistakes.
